I. Climbing/scrambling/demanding treks

Discover the Tatra with us! Our guides will lead you to the high, demanding summits of our range, on both the Polish and Slovak side, where you can experience the true mountain adventure. We provide all the necessary equipment (helmets, ropes, harnesses,) as well as insurance and the service of a licenced mountain guide.

The itineraries proposed here do include elements of scrambling or even climbing, as well as abseiling down the rope. They include prolonged stay in highly exposed mountain terrain, but at the same time are available for people with no previous climbing experience who wish to taste the beauty of our mountains off the (often crowded) beaten track

II. Hiking excursions/hiking trails

We also offer walks in a whole range of difficulties suitable for chidren, families, groups of friends, the elderly. With our experienced guides you will be able to visit the most breathtaking areas of the Tatra; you can learn how to prepare for a day out of doors, how to act in case of emergency, how to contact the rescue service, how to behave having met wild animals. It is also a perfect opportunity to learn about the history of the region, the tales of the conquerors of surrounding summits, legends of the robbers hiding away in the hills, of hunters and poachers.

III. Mountain skills course with elements of scrambling and climbing

For organised groups we have courses for winter mountain skills, avalanche courses, and ski-touring courses in winter. During the summer and autumn you can join one of the advanced mountain skills courses which are usually organised for groups of 4 – 12 persons, but can also be tailored for other size groups.

The couse is aimed at people who want to undertake more ambitious treks and walks in the mountaineous terrain where using ropes and anchor points may prove necessary.  It is also meant for those heading for via ferrata. No prior training is necessary, but one needs to be a proficient walker, experienced in demanding walking trails.

Our staff are all licensed instructors of Polish Alpine Association (PZA) member of UIAA.

Prices from: 960 PLN (per person, when a group is 4-6 people)

Included: theoretical and practical classes with the instructor, insurance, gear required for the training, attendance certificate.

Accommodation and food can be paid for directly at the hut. The course begins on day one around 2 p.m., and lasts until 7 p.m. on the third day.

Dates: can be arranged individually.

There is an option of buying a meal package together with the accommodation ( 2 nights, 6 meals) beginning with supper on day one, and finishing with lunch on day three at a price of 320 PLN

Programme:

  • Equipment neccesary for advanced trekking.
  • Objective dangers of mountains in summer conditions.
  • Navigation Basics: mapreading, compass, GPS.
  • Rope use and anchor building basics
  • Abseiling
  • ridges and via ferrata
  • fix ropes

The course comprises of classes in the Valley and one day at the Five Polish Lakes Valley.

What should you bring with you:

  • clothing and boots appropriate for the conditions at the part of the year
  • walking/trekking poles (optional)
  • glove (including 1 pair of thin work gloves for the via ferrata)
  • sunglasses and sunscreen
  • one-day rucksack
  • thermos
  • If you have, and prefer to use your own mountain gear during the training: harness, 3 screwgate HMS type biners, rappelling device, helmet, via ferrata absorber set,
  • ID/ passport

You may not be admitted to participate in the course should your outfit be not suited for the conditions.

The prices may need to change in case of  smaller groups.

The course may be postponed, or cancelled in case of conditions too harsh for outdoor activities. In this case the payment will either be moved to new reservation or refunded.
